Role Overview

We are hiring a Director of Product Management with deep experience in both product strategy development and hands-on execution. This is a true “player-coach” role, balancing ownership of one of Harpin AI’s core product lines with leadership of a team of two product managers and two business analysts.

harpin AI is seeking a disrupter, product creator, and experimentation-driven innovator—a leader who naturally challenges assumptions, uncovers new opportunities, and brings bold thinking to how solutions are imagined and built. This person must bring a strong executive presence and high confidence, both internally and in customer-facing environments.

In this role, you’ll help shape harpin AI’s product strategy in partnership with executive leadership, elevate the product discipline across the organization, and collaborate directly with clients to translate their needs into outcome-driven solutions. You’ll work closely with engineering, data science, design, and GTM teams to convert company strategy into clear, deliverable product outcomes. You’ll also play a key role in defining how Harpin AI approaches product management—establishing the standards, frameworks, and operating rhythms that drive scale, clarity, and excellence as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Prototype and validate rapidly: leverage AI tools and quick front-end mockups (e.g., React prototypes) to clarify concepts for engineering and bring upcoming features to life for stakeholders and clients. 
• Lead and mentor the product management team: coach Product Managers and business analysts, strengthen product thinking, and build a culture of ownership and accountability. 
• Own roadmap definition and delivery: translate business strategy into actionable product initiatives; balance innovation, client impact, and technical feasibility. 
• Drive cross-functional alignment: partner with engineering, design, sales, and marketing to ensure cohesive delivery from concept through launch.
• Engage customers and executives: clearly communicate the product vision internally and externally, supporting occasional client and sales conversations. 
• Operational excellence: run agile processes, effectively manage Jira boards, sprints, priorities, and dependencies to keep teams focused and outcomes measurable. 
• Champion quality and scalability: ensure non-functional requirements like performance, observability, and reliability are core to product delivery.
• Contribute to long-term product strategy: collaborate with the Head of Product & Engineering to translate company goals into a forward-looking roadmap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software product management, including experience leading or mentoring a product management team.
• Proven record of owning end-to-end delivery of a complex product or major feature set. 
• Strong understanding of product strategy, agile delivery, and technical fundamentals. 
• Experience in startup or high-growth environments, comfortable working with lean, cross-functional teams. 
• Skilled communicator able to translate between technical and business audiences. 
• Proficiency with Jira and agile practices (scrum or kanban). 
• Experience with AI-driven or data-intensive software preferred. 
• BA/BS in Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
